The Core Concept
The prize recognizes an outstanding emerging educator, a recent graduate or student of the Odessa art institutions who demonstrates exceptional vision in using Art as a tool for emotional regulation, attention restoration, and cultural connection in children.
The selection criteria
Instead of judging a single piece of artwork, the judges will evaluate the educators workshop curriculum and methodology based on three pillars:
Pedagogical Empathy: How effectively does the educator design a safe predictable environment that restores a child’s confidence and curiosity?
Resourceful Innovation: How creatively does the educator use local museum resources to design deep meaningful artistic experiences?
Commitment to Continuity: Does the workshop framework help children build a lasting sense of agency and connection to Odesa’s rich, diverse cultural heritage?
